Want to Jump the Queue? Slip me a Fiver

For £5 you can jump the security queue at Luton Airport - and I can't work out if it's a good idea or not. Part of me would gladly pay it. I HATE queuing, for anything - and the queue at Luton always seems to be particularly - tortuously, maddeningly, infuriatingly - long. But it also seems like yet another thing that we are being charged for (and you know the only reason that Ryanair hasn't introduced the pound-a-penny loos is because O'Leary hasn't found anyone who makes the coin-operated airport doors yet, don't you?).

The other thing that worries me is what will happen to the people who choose not to pay - because if it's worth an airport's while to make you wait, what's going to stop them?
