Singles and toy boys

Older single women on the hunt for younger men doesn't strike me as the biggest market for tour operators, but Singles Travel Company clearly sense there's money to be made.

They've organised the first International Cougar Cruise - cougars being older women, cubs (younger men) being their bait - that's set to sail from San Diego, California to Ensenada, Mexico on December 4 for a weekend jaunt.

Entertainment on board the Carnival Elation will include Des O'Connor, Katherine Jenkins and a talk by Olympic runner Sally Gunnell. While singles events feature organised get-togethers, cocktail and dancing nights.

The modest price ranges from £75 to £220 for the weekend... though if you're the cougar, you may end up spending far more keeping your toy boy sweet.
