January Travel Sales

You've bought the hand bag, the shoes, the suit... now it's time to turn your attention to the holiday! Essential Travel have scoured the net for the best deals to bring you five of the best.

HostelBookers January sales are really quite special. A night in Barcelona can cost as little as 1 euro a night (that's 90p), while a stay in Paris could work out as little as £19 a night. As well as up to 90% off city accommodation, there's also up to 30% off ski holidays and 40% off beach and adventure breaks.

You get two weeks in Greece for the price of one at Sunvil. Book before Feb 28 and you could be enjoying a couple of weeks in Parga, Crete or North Peloponnese for half the price.

The Hilton is showing its generous side with a whopping 50% off all weekend stays throughout 2010. The offer, of course, is subject to limited availability so get in there fast! We found a night at Hilton's Paris La Defense Hotel on Feb 13 (yes, the Saturday before Valentine's Day) for just £143.65 including a lazy breakfast until 11am and late checkout until 6pm.

We think Virgin Atlantic is coming up trumps in the flight sales. Try New York for £389, Montego Bay for £401 or Hong Kong for £421. The Virgin Holiday deals aren't too bad either with good bargains to Florida, Orlando and the Caribbean in particular.

BMI has rolled in with excellent deals including a return flight from London to Moscow from £214.90 (it's £199.10 if you'd rather travel from Manchester) and a return to Beirut from £384.80. Closer to home you'll find a £66 return to Brussels and £42.60 return to Amsterdam.
