Bargain breaks - ski holidays

Introducing our new Monday blog ... a pick of some of the best bargain breaks available - because we all want a holiday, but we'd rather not pay too much for it, if that's ok. Here goes:

The ski season is slowly but inevitably drawing to a close for another year - and so end-of-season bargains are dropping like apples from the tree. Lastminute.com's ski breaks start from £109. Offers include seven nights self-catering in Saas Fee, Switzerland from £299 per person, and seven nights B&B from £249 in St Anton, Austria.

Thomson is offering seven nights self-catering in Whistler, Canada, departing April 1, from symbol(pound)699 per person, or seven nights half-board in Sauze D'oulx, Italy, departing March 22, from £264.

Crystal Ski also has plenty of late deals: choose between seven nights full-board in Les Deux Alpes, France, departing March 21, £299, or departing March 29, seven nights self-catering in Iso-syote, Finland, for £269 - that way there's a chance you'll get to see the northern lights, too. Cool.
