The website was good and easy to use. My complaint would be that I am under medication for life to control a blood deficiency. Since being under that medication, I have not had a DVT for years yet the risk of me having one costs more than doubles the cost of my insurance.

Very friendly and seemingly helpful agents, but it took me two lengthy phone calls to sort out a renewal, and renewing online didn't work, despite being linked to it in a reminder email. The first telephone conversation led to a quote that was very much higher than the final one, which was puzzling, and might have meant I went elsewhere. I also asked the agent several times if the policy was the "Superior Essential Medical Annual Trip" (the same as my previous policy) and was told it was. When I received the policy it is described as "Essential Plus Medical Annual Trip." This will have to do as I can't face another long phone call! The final booking also doesn't tell me if I received the promised per cent loyalty discount.

I initially tried to book my insurance via an email I received from Thomas Cook, but when I clicked on the get insurance button it came up with my travel dates but said that it was insurance for Europe when I am going to Cape Verde. After 3 hours of trying to sort this out via various telephone conversations with Thomas Cook and Thomas Cook Airlines, who don't seem to talk to one another and were of absolutely no help whatsoever, I phoned a Thomas Cook branch in Islington and was informed that Cape Verde is classified as Europe for your insurance purposes. Might I also suggest that you put your telephone numbers on any emails, letters attachments that you send to your customers, just trying to get your telephone number is a feat in itself. It would appear you have no wish to talk directly to your customers and make it as difficult as possible!
