Motorcycling is a great way to get around if you are visiting a new place over the holidays. For mopeds and motorbikes up to 50cc, you'll be covered at no extra charge on our Single, Annual or Backpacker travel insurance policies. For 50cc - 125cc motorbikes, add extra grade 2 sports cover for a small additional premium.

When you choose Travel Insurance for Motorcycling:

  • You will only be covered when riding with a helmet
  • You may only drive with a valid licence
  • You may ride mopeds with Sports Grade 1 cover
  • You will not be covered for racing

Which Sports Grade do you choose?

Our Sports Insurance is categorised by Sports Grades which refer to the level of risk involved with an activity. Sports Grade 1 extends your cover at no extra cost, while Sports Grade 2, 3 and 4 require that you add extra cover to your quote as you make your way through the booking process.
