Can I have my car collected at one terminal and returned to another terminal?

Meet and Greet Parking

Dear Essential Travel
I'm leaving for India at the end of February and would like to book Meet and Greet Airport Parking from Essential Travel at Heathrow. But I am slightly unsure about the procedure. What happens if my flights depart and arrive at different terminals? Can I have my car collected at one terminal and have the chauffeur return it to another terminal?

Hi Ian

Thank you for your query, we're happy to help you out. For Heathrow Airport, you should note that some companies only operate out of particular terminals. If you need to be met at a different terminal, it is important that you book a service that operates at all terminals. If you can't do that, contact the meet and greet service directly and inform them. They may just be willing to adjust their policies to suit you.

Stress Free Meet and Greet, for example, operates at all Heathrow terminals. Essential Travel Heathrow Airport Parking might be helpful to you, as it provides a list of airport parking options and companies.

The best advice we can give you is to choose a Meet and Greet service that would suit your needs. We understand that sometimes things are out of your control, so if it is not possible for you to return to your terminal of departure, you should inform the parking service when you book. This way, alternative arrangements can be made. And even if your car can't be dropped off at a different terminal, all is not lost. There are other ways of getting around; Heathrow Airport currently has four terminals in operation. It is a ten minute walk between terminals 1 and 3, and you can take the Heathrow Express (for free) from terminals 1, 3, 4 and 5 (the train ride is about 20 minutes).

Below is a list of Meet and Greet services that operate from all of the terminals at Heathrow Airport. We have also included some helpful hints that should make your journey a little easier.

Here are some tips to help make your Meet and Greet experience even more convenient.

If you are travelling with disabled passengers, or are a person with reduced mobility yourself, inform the Meet and Greet service you've booked with, and they will make arrangements for you to be collected at the most convenient place for you.

Once you have collected your luggage, call the chauffeur and they will be able to greet you at the right time. It's not a good idea to call before you have landed or disembarked because if the chauffeur has to wait more than 30 minutes for you, you may be charged an extra fee.

With airport valet parking, you are required to let them know what terminal you will be arriving at when your flight returns. Remember to provide them with this information and if it changes, be sure to inform them.

Look out for your chauffeur - they should be in uniform.

Remember that some Meet and Greet services only offer same-terminal valet services, while others offer separate terminal Meet and Greet. It would be useful to visit the particular car park's webpage at Essential Travel and find out which one is best for you.

Enjoy your trip!
