1. Porsche 911 Carrera 4S

Top 10: Porsche

Porsche is one of the most reliable sports cars and has always been a good daily driver compared to for example Italian sports cars. The new 991 series Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is a fantastic car and with 400 horsepower sent to both the rear and front axle it is just pure fun. The only problem is with deep snow, then the 911 front will act like a snow plow because of the front is not very high, so if you want a Porsche and need to drive in deep snow get a Cayenne, preferably Turbo S...

2. Subaru Impreza

Top 10: Subaru

With Subaru, the dirt roads, ice tracks and WRC are the first things that some people remember. Subaru is well known for their all-wheel drive models and the Impreza is the sportiest one in their model range, offering plenty of room and power. Clearly not as interesting to look at as a Porsche 911, but hey it also has a boxer engine...

3. Honda CR-V AWD

Top 10: Honda

Honda just recently launched the new CR-V and with Honda's Real Time AWD with Intelligent Control System it is a good crossover-style SUV for the family. The improved fuel economy from its 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine and five-speed automatic transmission are clearly a big plus with todays petrol prices.

4. Audi A6 Allroad Quattro

Top 10: Audi

The new Audi A6 Allroad Quattro is bigger and better than the outgoing model in many ways. With a wide range of engines, legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system and raised height compared to the standard A6 it is a safe and elegant pick for the snowy roads. Not quite an SUV and not a classic wagon either. If the A6 Allroad is not powerful enough, then Audi just recently revealed a new RS6 Avant with 560 hp and Quattro all-wheel drive.

5. Land Rover Range Rover Evoque

Top 10: Range Rover

Smallest and most fuel-efficient model to ever from Land Rover, the Range Rover Evoque looks great in both 3- and 5-door body configurations. when fitted with a 240-horsepower 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission it is a pleasure to drive anywhere.

6. Volvo V40 Cross Country

Top 10: Volvo

The new baby Volvo is also available with All-Wheel-Drive as standard on the 254 hp T5 petrol turbo to enhance the all-road, all-weather, capability if the standard front-wheel drive model is likely to leave you in trouble during the winter times.

7. MINI Paceman

Top 10: Mini

The three-door version of the Countryman made its debut back in September at the Paris Motor Show and comes with a wide range of engines and the all-wheel drive option, which is standard on the top of the range John Cooper Works model. The Paceman JCW has 218 hp, ALL4 all-wheel drive, an aerodynamic kit, 18-inch light-alloy wheels and lowered sports suspension. This is our favourite MINI.

8. Nissan Juke

Top 10: Nissan

The Juke has been available since 2010 and it is one of the most popular crossovers today. The four-wheel drive model comes equipped with the 190 horsepower 1.6-litre direct injection turbo petrol engine.

9. Mazda CX-5

Top 10: Mazda

Mazda's compact crossover has been on sale since Spring with prices starting from £21,395. The all-new CX-5 introduces innovative fuel-saving SKYACTIV technology. With the CX-5, Mazda has really surprised everyone and is actually one of the three finalists for the North American Truck/Utility award, which will be given out in January at the Detroit Auto Show.

10. New Land Rover Range Rover

Top 10: New Range Rover

New fourth generation Range Rover is lighter, stronger and more refined and very likely world's finest luxury SUV. Compared to its predecessors, the new model's wading depth has improved by 200mm to 900mm, and it is the best towing vehicle in its class with a 3,500kg trailer capability. Top of the range 510 hp LR-V8 Supercharged model to accelerates from 0-60mph in just 5.1 seconds.
