About Liverpool Airport

Liverpool Airport, otherwise known as Liverpool John Lennon Airport, is the tenth busiest airport in the United Kingdom. As an international airport, it offers flights to North American, African, European and Middle Eastern destinations. Flights to local destinations are also available.

Layout of Liverpool Airport Terminal

The airport terminal has a very simple layout. There are two sections to the terminal building. The first section is located before security and lets you enjoy entertainment, travel and financial services. Only passengers may check in to go beyond the security section. The second section of the terminal building has two floors with more shops, bars and restaurants.

With stores such as Antler, Claires, SPAR, WH Smith and World Duty Free, your Liverpool Airport shopping experience will give you access to everything that you may need to pass the time or prepare yourself for your journey.

Restaurants at Liverpool Airport

Burger King,Subway, Starbucks, Caffè Ritazza, Frankie & Benny’s and JD Wetherspoon are just some of the Liverpool Airport restaurants and wineries that are ready to cater to your pre- or post-travel diet.

Useful Airport Services

Internet Access

The airport has kiosks for pay-as-you-go internet access and printing services. For WiFi access from a single provider throughout the terminal, John Lennon Liverpool Airport recommends that you sign up with The Cloud.

Liverpool Airport Security

The airport encourages you to travel safely and always be aware of your surroundings. Try not to travel with liquids exceeding 100ml. Even though the airport recommends this, the various airlines do apply their own standards. The same applies for luggage restrictions.

Left Luggage Service

If you need to store your items for a short period, or if you won’t be gone for long, you can leave your baggage at the Information Desk in the terminal building for any period not exceeding 2 days. This service is available every day of the week.

Assistance for Disabled Passengers

Passengers with reduced mobility are fully catered for at the airport with services that include:

  • Wheelchairs if you struggle to walk unassisted for long periods
  • Low-level telephones for easy access to staff and services
  • Ambulift platforms for boarding/disembarking
  • Additional specialist Blue Badge services
