Explore:
You'll soon be ready for action, and might want to set off on one of the hotel's hiking trails or walkways nestled in 44 acres of private woodland. Perhaps you fancy a spot of lake fishing or tennis? You could even request a picnic, which will be delivered to you anywhere in the grounds.
Some guests venture further afield to nearby Otley with its traditional weekend market. If you'd prefer to stay within the cosy confines of the hotel, the newly-refurbished spa and leisure club has a hot tub, sauna, gym, pampering treatments, and swimming pool with views of the lake and garden.
Fresh fine dining:
Overlooking the water, the distinctive log cabin interior of the award-winning Lakeside restaurant is warm and welcoming and one of the largest log buildings in the UK. Fresh seasonal ingredients are used to create two impressive, refined menus - a la carte and taster. Dinner is served between 6.30pm and 9pm in the restaurant, with bar meals available in the Garden Lounge and atmospheric Woodland Bar until 9.30pm.
Retreat to your room:
You'll hardly be able to wait until it's time to enjoy the sumptuous bed and country styling in your room. The rooms in the main building and woodland lodges feature a variety of designs, but all have views of the beautiful grounds and buckets of character. Some of the lodges offer porches or decking areas too. En-suite bathrooms, TV, tea and coffee all come as standard, as do the usual facilities of a three-star hotel.
Time to go:
After a hearty breakfast, you can travel to the airport in just five minutes. Transfers are available 24 hours a day for £6 per person. When you return to the UK, transfer back to the hotel and collect your car.
