The Little Black Book Travel Agent Ceases Trading

Summary: The Little Black Book travel agent and tour operator based in Suffolk has ceased all trading immediately.

If you have booked your trip through this company and it included a flight, it is advised you contact the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for information on your flight status now.

The Little Black Book Travel Agency was a member of ABTA and also held an ATOL licence.

The CAA has confirmed that The Little Black Book only had 10 forward bookings and no passengers currently overseas.

How Will This Affect Customers

Travel Delay

In respect of any customers who have been delayed returning to the UK due to this incident, no delayed departure compensation is applicable as the delay has not been caused by an airline strike or industrial action, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown. The General Exclusions of cover - tour operator or any company.. either becoming insolvent or being unable to fulfil their obligations and claims which but for the existence of this insurance would be covered under any other insurance also apply.

Third Party Supplier Insolvency

For polices which provide this cover, no cover exists as the policy excludes claims for any costs which are recoverable from any company who is bonded elsewhere. The General Exclusions of cover - tour operator or any company either becoming insolvent or being unable to fulfil their obligations and claims which, but for the existence of this insurance would be covered under any other insurance also apply.

Premium Refunds

No premium refunds are to be made outside of the cooling off period. Premium refunds within the cooling off period should be processed by the sales agent as normal.

Airport Parking - Should you need to cancel your airport parking and did not purchase a cancellation waiver when making your booking, you will be charged a cancellation fee of £5. Please note: cancellations will only be refunded if made at least 24 hours before the expected time of arrival.

Airport Hotels - You can amend or cancel a booking up to 48 hours before arrival. Depending on which hotel you book the cancellation will either be free or a fee of £15 per room will be applicable. No refunds are available if you cancel within less than 48 hours notice.
