Eurotunnel authorities have announced that they will not be taking any further bookings for Calais to Folkestone and vice versa for the entire bank weekend, including Monday.
Existing Bookings
According to the FCO, "those who have already purchased a ticket to travel with Eurotunnel this weekend are advised to make their way to check in as normal, but to expect possible delays and disruption".
Steps Being Taken
Steps are being taken by Eurotunnel to mitigate any potential disruptions, including:
- Possibility of British staff manning the French terminal
- Ensuring British train drivers are available
Eurostar
Eurostar has confirmed through their twitter page, that planned Eurotunnel strikes will not have an effect on their services.
French ferry firmSeaFrance has also said they have space available on their Dover to Calais service all weekend. Passengers are advised to book as soon as possible, as there is already an increase in bookings for this weekend.
