Astonbury Limited (Skyjet And Skyjet Travel) Ceases Trading

Summary: Astonbury Limited, also known as Skyjet and Skyjet Travel has ceased all trading with immediate effect. The company operated with Austrian carrier - Comtel.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued information for travellers following this sudden cease in trading.
Passengers Already Abroad
Travellers with ATOL (Air Travel Organisers License) protected flights with Skyjet may be able to claim refunds on flights back to the UK.
Passengers Due To Travel
Do not go to the airport. All forward bookings are officially cancelled.

How Will This Affect Customers
Cancellation

Travel Delay
In respect of any customers who have been delayed returning to the UK due to this incident, no delayed departure compensation is applicable as the delay has not been caused by an airline strike or industrial action, adverse weather conditions or mechanical breakdown. The General Exclusions of cover - tour operator or any company, either becoming insolvent or being unable to fulfil their obligations and claims which, but for the existence of this insurance would be covered under any other insurance also apply.
Scheduled Airline Failure
Customers who have protection under this section of their policy are not covered, as neither Skyjet nor Skyjet Travel are scheduled Airlines. The General Exclusions of cover - tour operator or any company either becoming insolvent or being unable to fulfil their obligations and claims which but for the existence of this insurance would be covered under any other insurance also apply.
Airport Parking - Should you need to cancel your airport parking and did not purchase a cancellation waiver when making your booking, you will be charged a cancellation fee of £5. Please note: cancellations will only be refunded if made at least 24 hours before the expected time of arrival.
Airport Hotels - You can amend or cancel a booking up to 48 hours before arrival. Depending on which hotel you book the cancellation will either be free or a fee of £15 per room will be applicable. No refunds are available if you cancel within less than 48 hours notice.
