What types of policies are available to students?
Backpacker - Essential for gap years, this policy covers 1 long trip of up to 2 years
Single Trip - For one off holidays or school trips up to 45 days long
Annual - unlimited number of trips for 12 months - great if you fly home at the end of term or for half term holidays

To help make sure you protect your travel plans with our award winning Student Backpacker policy, you can save 15% until 1st September 2013, so that you can get covered without hurting your travel budget! This 15% discount is automatically deducted when you get a quote for a backpacker policy and included in the prices displayed.
Cover for working students
Grade 1 sports cover comes with your policy at no extra cost and includes cover for restaurant and bar work, student counselling and exchanges and a host of low risk sports. For adventure sports, add extra grade 2 (medium risk) - grade 4 (high risk) sports cover.
Experts' Top Tip - Travelling in a group of students? You can add up to 8 travellers to one policy online (or more if you contact us) which makes our policies ideal for school trips or students travelling together.
Customise to suit your needs
You can choose from up to 4 cover levels and 4 areas of cover so that you only pay for the cover you need. You can also add extra protection for pre-existing medical conditions, winter sports, cruises and more so that you can experience as much as possible whilst you're away - safely.
Policies are available to any UK or Irish resident up to 55 years (Backpacker policies), 65 years (Wintersports policies) or 74 years of age (Single or Annual policies).
