Ice skating may be something you happen to try one holiday or a recreational activity you enjoy indulging in every winter. Whatever your circumstances, there is nothing like taking to the ice on a winter holiday in the Alps or in one of Europe's fairytale cities at night. Take your children along and spend a fun few hours teaching them to skate or go for a romantic ice skating evening with your partner. Ice Skating Insurance will cover the medical bills if someone in your family should sustain an injury while on the ice.

Ice Skating Holiday Insurance

If you intend to indulge in other winter sports while on holiday, it's advisable to choose the single trip, multi trip or backpackers option that includes winter sports cover. Winter sports options will cover you for any damage to skiing equipment or delays caused by avalanches.

If you only intend to do ice skating a couple of times and spend the rest of the holiday sight seeing or relaxing in a Jacuzzi, the standard single trip, multi trip or backpackers insurance should be sufficient. Your medical and personal accident cover will take care of any ice skating emergency. Cover for ice skating is FREE on all of our insurance policies saving you money.

Our cheap Winter Sport insurance is available for people aged up to 65 years and has the following essential features:

Cover for up to £10 million should you have an accident on holiday
Up to £750 to cover the replacement or repair of ski or snowboard equipment on Superior policies
Up to £510 to cover the loss or damage of hired equipment
Up to £500 compensation for closed piste while you are away
Compensation up to £600 for un-used ski packs

Please note that we can only cover you while on a proper ice skating rink and not on frozen ground/water.

If you intend to do more hazardous winter sports such as snow boarding, you'll need to pay an extra premium to be covered for these sports and it's best to contact us to discuss the options.
