Hockey Travel Cover

If you're looking for something out of the ordinary to do during your vacation, you can try learning hockey. For those who want to get in shape, hockey provides excellent exercise and helps improve your stamina and endurance. It also lets you enjoy the outdoors and interact with other people. We recommend getting proper travel insurance if you're planning to try it out, as playing Hockey can lead to various sports injuries.

What Cover Do I Receive?

With our policies, you'll be covered for your time spent travelling - including the time you play Hockey - for:

  • Medical emergencies - up to £10 million
  • Personal Accident - up to £20,000
  • Hospital stays - up to £1,000*
  • Sports Equipment - up to £1,000*

*the above applies to the maximum grade Superior policy.

Level Of Sport Cover

Grade 2 - Request a quote and select grade 2 cover for Hockey, Roller Hockey and Underwater Hockey (amateur).

Grade 3 - Request a quote and select grade 3 cover for Ice Hockey (amateur).

Please remember that we unfortunately cannot offer cover for any competitively played sport. It has to be undertaken on an incidental basis (i.e as a fun, informal holiday activity).

Where Can I Learn To Play Hockey?

Hockey can be played on a field, road, or ice rink. Different forms are played in different areas, depending on the climate and landscape. If you're interested in playing hockey when travelling, be sure to look up available playing areas, so that you can get the right equipment and inform your travel insurance company beforehand.

What Is Grade 2 Cover?

Hockey is considered a Grade 2 risk sport. It has lower risk of injury compared to adventure sports (which we call Grade 3 or 4), but it is not completely low-risk either (such as our Grade 1 sports). It's best to have your travel insurance in place so that you can fully enjoy the game. Find more information by requesting a quote above.
