Why Would You Need Travel Insurance To Go Fishing?

Common rock fishing injuries include cuts, scratches and bruises from slipping over the rock, and broken bones, dislocations, and trauma from hard falls. Fishing also exposes you to the sun, wind and water which for prolonged periods may put your health at risk. While these injuries are often treatable, treatment can be quite expensive, especially if you're in a foreign place with no travel insurance.

Safety First

Look up some good fishing sites in your destination if you want to try fishing while on vacation. Some sites provide equipment like boats and rods, but make sure that they also have safety equipment, such as buoys and life jackets.

Non-deep sea fishing has a risk level of Grade 1. This makes it a relatively safe sport, but it is not completely safe from accidents. To fully enjoy your vacation, make sure you have adequate travel insurance to provide you with a financial safety net.
