Nearly half a million people suffer from epilepsy in the UK and there are over 40 different types of epilepsy. To ensure that you have the correct epilepsy travel insurance for your particular form of epilepsy we ask our customers to fill in our easy medical screening questionnaire.
The medical screening questionnaire can be carried out online. When you reach the medical conditions page on step 4 of 5 on the online booking/renewal process, enter epilepsy into the search box above the alphabet. It will then say in red letters, 'Sorry we cannot find a match for the medical condition click here to use our online screening process.' Click on the link stating click here and then answer the following questions about your epilepsy. Your answers will provide a tailor made quotation your epilepsy insurance. You can choose to either accept or decline the additional medical cover for your epilepsy travel insurance at this stage.
If you choose to decline the additional medical coverage it means that you won't be covered for anything directly or indirectly related to your epilepsy. You would still be covered for any emergency medical expenses you may require that are unrelated to your epilepsy e.g. breaking a bone in an accident.
If you are unsure if you need to be medically screened please read our Pre Existing Medical Conditions Insurance page.
If your epilepsy is controlled with medication but you still have reservations about flying please speak to your doctor or other medical authority for advice. For further information you can also check your airlines guide to flying with epilepsy.
