Essential Travel advises Easter skiers that an annual multi-trip policy is the way forward for late-season breaks

Recent snowfalls in the Alps may make an Easter ski-trip an attractive last minute option for many Brits and whilst ski insurance is a no-brainer, many may be spending too much on the wrong policy according to Essential Travel. The company advises snow-lovers that an annual multi-trip policy will represent the best value and best cover.

It is not well known that best multi-trip policies include ski trips of up to 17 days, as well as covering summer holidays and city breaks etc. In addition to all the medical cover you could need ($10m is standard), they offer a range of benefits such as cover for delayed luggage and ski equipment, lost ski-passes or equipment which can be costly to replace, plus compensation if the pistes are closed. Best of all, family policies are ‘kids go free’, which covers children up to 25 years of age if they are in full time education.

Andrea Clayton, Ambassador for Essential Travel, said: “Ski insurance is a big focus at Holiday Extras, especially since we acquired Essential Travel, even when spring is in the air! We’re delighted to be able to offer these fantastic policies which mean our customers can hit the pistes with peace of mind and a few more £ in their pockets.”
