Introduction
Manchester International is one of the UK's most important airports, serving millions of passengers annually and connecting northern England with a multitude of international destinations. The Skylink moving walkway connects the three terminals encompassed by the airport.
Airport Parking at Manchester
Short- and long-term parking facilities are located near to terminals 1, 2 and 3, and transportation between parking lots and airport terminals is provided by a free shuttle bus service. CPS Chauffeured Parking Services provides a chauffeured parking service. Pre-booking long-term parking will ensure peace of mind.
Getting to and from Manchester
Manchester International is located 16kms southwest of the Manchester city centre, off junction 5 of the M56 motorway. The terminals are clearly signposted on all roads leading to the airport.
Trains run daily (excluding Christmas Day and Boxing Day) from the airport station, linking it with most rail stations in northern England and the Midlands. A frequent service travels between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly station in the city centre, which provides connections to most major destinations across the UK.
A bus station is situated outside Terminal 1 International Arrivals, and provides direct services to numerous local and regional destinations. National coach services also operate from Manchester United, traveling to destinations across the UK. You will find taxi ranks located outside the Arrivals hall of each terminal.
Amenities at Manchester International Airport
Banking services, ATMs and bureaux de change are scattered across the three terminals, and postal facilities can be found in the Arrivals hall of Terminal 1.
A business centre is situated in Terminal 3 and offers fax services, photocopying, computing facilities, meeting rooms, private workstations with telephones, message taking, video conferencing, and a flight and information booking service. Additionally, the airport offers private conference facilities for up to 400 people. The Premier Lounge-Escape, located in Terminal 2, offers a range of business services in a relaxed and luxurious environment.
Manchester International encompasses a vast range of restaurants, bars and cafés, many of which are open 24 hours a day. Duty-free shops are located beyond passport control, while the many shops in the main concourse area include Salisburys, Claires Accessories, Allsports, Monsoon Accessorize, Sunglass Hut, Thornton's and WHSmith.
Disabled passengers are provided with special toilet facilities, hearing loops and accessible telephones. Information desks are located in the Arrivals areas of terminals 1, 2 and 3, and in the Departures hall of Terminal 1 (open daily 05:00-22:00).
