Marbella: Getting There
Once a sleepy Spanish fishing village, now a playground for the rich and famous, Marbella's fantastic climate, beautiful beaches, thriving night life and plentiful golf courses all help make it one of the most popular destinations on the Mediterranean.
By Air
Malaga Airport is 45 minutes away by car. There is a train station at the airport but no direct services to Marbella. A bus service operates from the Airport to Marbella throughout the day. The journey takes approximately 45 minutes and calls at Fuengirola en route. Alternatively, the number 19 service connects the airport to Malaga where you can then catch a bus direct to Marbella. Taxis are also available outside the terminal.
By Car
From Malaga and destinations east of Marbella: Take the N-340 towards Cadiz. From Fuengirola, either remain on the same road or take the 'Costa del Sol' toll motorway.
By Rail
A rail service provides connections between Malaga Airport and Fuengirola. From there it's possible to take a bus or a taxi for the remainder of the journey to Marbella.
By Bus
Eurolines operates bus services from across Europe to Malaga, from where a connecting bus is available to Marbella.
