Mexico City Benito Juarez International Airport (MEX)
Located roughly eight miles from Mexico City, Mexico City Airport is also known as Benito Juarez International Airport. It is regarded as one of the nation's major transport hubs, providing access to destinations across the country and acting as a gateway to the city and all of central Mexico. Serving over 20-million travellers per year, it is one of Latin America's busiest airports.
Airport parking at Mexico City
Mexico City International Airport offers almost 5,000 spaces for both short and long-term parking. Parking is divided into four separate parking lots, which are located within easy walking distance of all international and domestic terminals.
Getting to and from Mexico City
The airport can be reached from Mexico City by taking Fray Servando avenue northwards and then turning left onto Rio Churubusco. From here, clear signs will lead you directly to the airport. Rental cars are available at the airport, with over ten vehicle rental agencies to choose from.
Alternatively, a Metro rail station is located just two minutes walk from the terminal building, with underground services being very reasonably priced. The Metro station can be accessed by turning left as you leave the airport building and you will see the station after passing the parking lots. However, crime rates are high in Mexico and the underground can be dangerous - taxis and buses are a safer transportation option.
Taxis can be taken from outside Area A of the terminal building and pre-paid taxi tickets can be bought at counters in the baggage reclaim areas. Make sure you take an official taxi from the taxi stand. Buses leave from just outside Gate D, providing transport to various locations in and around the city.
