Milan Linate International Airport (LIN) Information

Introduction

Milan Linate International Airport, the second-largest of the Milan area's three airports, is located 7kms east of the city. Approximately 9 million passengers per year travel through this gateway to Italy's fashion capital and the scenic Lake Maggiore-Lake Como region to the north. The airport offers flights to and from most of the major cities of Europe.

Airport parking at Milan Linate International Airport

About 4,500 parking spaces are available at Linate Airport, with easy access to the terminal. Short-stay spaces are located just outside the arrival and departure areas, with a fee of €0.60 every 15 minutes. A multilevel parking building (open 24 hours) contains 1,327 spaces. Rates are as follows: €3.50 for 1 hour; €5 for 2 hours; €9 for 6 hours; €16 for 12 hours; and €20 for 24 hours. There are 2,800 spaces in the west and north long-term car parks. Rates here are: €3.50 for 1 hour; €4 for 2 hours; €7 for 6 hours; €12 for 12 hours; and €15 for 24 hours. The 10-day rate is €85. Top car supervised parking for valuable vehicles is also available in the west car park, with rates identical to those charged in the multilevel parking building. Valet parking is offered there as well, with a daily rate of €24.

Getting to and from Milan Linate International Airport

From central Milan, take Via XXII Marzo and Viale Corsica; from the ring road, use the Linate exit. The airport has good links to northern Italy's road network via the ring road that circles Milan. Autostrada A4 leads westward to Turin and eastward to Verona and Venice. The A7 runs south to Genoa, and the A1 to Parma and Bologna. The A6 and A9 autoroutes lead northward to the lake district. Buses leave the airport every 30 minutes for Milan's Piazza San Babila and the city centre (€2.50). Connections are also offered to Malpensa (€8.50), Pavia (€9) and Brescia (€30). A taxi stand is located outside the arrivals area; the rate into Milan is about €15.

Amenities at Milan Linate International Airport

The airport is equipped with ATMs, two banks, two currency exchange booths, a post office, a 24-hour medical centre and a chapel. Numerous shops are located throughout the airport, including duty-free in the international departures area. Bars and self-service eateries are located on both floors, and there is a restaurant and tea room on the second floor. The airport's business centre is on the ground floor. Other business facilities, including internet access, can be found in any of the airport's three Club SEA lounges.
