Prague Weather
The weather in Prague is surprisingly variable. This is due to the Czech Republic's location between the oceanic and the continental weather regimes.
Summer and Winter
The city's summers are generally hot, with the interruption of thunderstorms. Temperatures in the summer can reach 29°C, which is very pleasant, making it the busiest time of year for tourists to visit. Winter days and nights can be very cold, with temperatures varying from -11°C to 0°C. The cold weather is off-putting for many people, but with excellent ski resorts situated nearby, it is a good time of year to visit for winter sports.
Spring
Spring can start very late throughout the whole of the Czech Republic, sometimes starting as late as June, but it is well worth the wait, with most of the countryside's numerous fruit trees being covered in blossom at this time.
