Weather In Limassol

Limassol enjoys a typically Mediterranean climate with long, hot and dry summers and mild winters, separated by brief autumn and spring seasons.

Hot summers

Sunshine is virtually guaranteed during the summer months and temperatures can soar to uncomfortable levels, especially during July and August. Gentle sea breezes moderate the heat on the coast; however, inland, the mercury can climb to over 40C. Cyprus can suffer from droughts, as the summers are usually completely dry.

Autumn is a popular time to visit, as the days are hot and nights are fairly cool. Many of the beaches are free of crowds and swimming is still possible. Likewise, spring is also a favourite time for holidaymakers, with temperatures starting to warm up around April. The winter months can be cloudy and wet, but the coastal resorts such as Limassol remain mild and pleasant. The nearby Troodos Mountains can be much colder, with snow showers during December and January.
