Car rental is easy in Limassol and recommended, as regular public transport is not available to all remote areas, where many places of interest are to be found.  Taxi drivers may also refuse to carry more than three passengers with luggage, which may leave car rental as the best option. There are many opportunities for daytrips in the surrounding area including some beautiful coastal scenery along the bay and out to the southwest cape. Another option is to head inland to the interesting mountain villages and slopes of the Troodos range.
