Vancouver Weather
Located on the Pacific Ocean as well as on the border with the United States, Vancouver doesn't experience the extreme weather conditions that other Canadian towns and cities do and the weather here is mostly mild year-round.
Summer
The summertime is undoubtedly the best time to be in Vancouver, when the temperatures are at their highest and the rainfall the lowest. Temperatures in July and August reach highs in the mid-20°Cs or more, while May and September is slightly cooler, wetter and less crowded. Spring and autumn are similar with regards the weather in Vancouver, with highs of around 18°C and a risk of thunderstorms.
Winter
Temperatures in the wintertime in Vancouver can drop as low as -5°C, although the city sees many tourists this time of year, who come to enjoy the excellent ski slopes at nearby ski resorts such as Whistler, located to the north of the city.
