The airport is accessible from the city via the CityLink toll road/Tullamarine freeway, with a journey time of less than 30 minutes. A Skylink pass is necessary to access the airport in a private vehicle. Taxis can be taken from outside the airport building and the Skybus provides a round-the-clock shuttle service to the city, departing every 15 minutes during daylight hours and every 30 minutes to 1 hour at night. Additionally, public buses leave from outside the terminal building, offering transportation to various locations in and around Melbourne.
