Brisbane Weather

Brisbane's pleasant, Mediterranean-style climate provides distinct seasons, together with year-round sunshine, hot summers and clear, mild winters.

Spring and Summer

December, January and February are the hottest months, with consistent fine weather, although occasional downpours may occur at this time of the year.

Summer maximum average temperatures generally hover around 30°C. Sunscreen, hats and protective clothing are essential throughout the summer, and highly recommended throughout the year.

Autumn and Winter

One of the most popular times to visit Brisbane is during the autumn months of March, April and May, with fine days, mild nights and generally very pleasant weather. The winter is mild and very pleasant. Most winter days are sunny, with average temperatures of around 17°C.

Average monthly rainfall over the year is around 96 millimetres, with an average of 8 hours of sunshine per day.
