Budget luxury in Brussels

Ebookers are offering a good range of packages to Brussels leaving Friday morning and returning Sunday evening. The deal (including two nights stay in a choice of four and five star hotels) is around £260 depending on which hotel you choose. Spa in Scottish style

Head north to Aberdeen and indulge in a spa weekend. Spa and Hotel Break are offering a £165 deal (per couple) that includes a night's stay at Mercure Ardoe House Aberdeen Hotel & Spa, dinner, breakfast and a choice of treatment (back therapy, manicure, pedicure or head massage). You also get use of the hotel's indoor pool, gym, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room.

Cottages in Cornwall

If you're heading off as a family, try a beachside cottage in Cornwall through Cornish Traditional Cottages. They have a range of deals, but the one that caught our eye was Courtyard Barn in Looe. The three bedroom cottage (sleeps seven) comes with all mod-cons and has been reduced from £792 for the week (from Aug 29) to £528.
