Hair today, New Zealand tomorrow

Truly, these are desperate times. For not only are airlines so hungry for passengers, but passengers are so hungry for flights (or cash) they are prepared to shave heads and stamp company logos where their hair used to be. Yes, Cranial Billboards. I am, admittedly, a little late on this one (it happened last November ... but the shock lingers on! That and The New York Times and Jaunted.com are still talking about it) but in return for a return flight to New Zealand or $777 (like the plane, geddit?) some Americans shaved their heads. To encourage people to fly with Air New Zealand. The tattoos were temporary, but still - ew. And before you think I'm just old fashioned, one volunteer's brother was so shocked he assumed she must be having a nervous breakdown and called the police. Just look:
