Gatwick Airport Information
London's second biggest and busiest airport has two terminals, North and South. Both terminals are fully equipped with helpful facilities and additional services.
The monorail between North and South terminals will be undergoing some maintenance between 18 November and 3 December. This means that it will be running every six minutes instead of every three minutes. We advise that you arrive well ahead of your flight.
Which Gatwick Terminal?
London Gatwick's South Terminal caters to most international and domestic flights. While the airport's North Terminal provides you with access to charter flights and budget airlines.
Gatwick Terminal Shuttle

- The shuttle train service runs every few minutes 24 hours a day
- The journey takes just two minutes
Between the North and South Terminals, you'll find many stores for clothing, accessories, electronic devices, luggage, souvenirs, cosmetics, reading material and your choice of Bureaux de Change and duty free shopping. There's even a Harrods that offers almost all of the items above too.
Restaurants at Gatwick Airport
The North Terminal has hot drinks and light meals available at Cafe Nero and Costa Coffee. There you'll also find the popular Jamie's Bakery and Jamie's Italian as well as the fine-dining establishment, Cavier House and Prunier.
The South Terminal has a Marks & Spencer Simply Food as well as many reputable restaurant chains. The Bridge is a relaxed pub offering various premium ales on tap. And for the children, there's a Giraffe restaurant.
Shop until you Drop
The airport's Shop & Drop service allows you to buy goods and have them stored safely until you return to Gatwick - all store assistants will be able to advise you on this convenient service.
Gatwick offers a porter service at affordable prices. If you are traveling with children or a lot of baggage, it is worth taking advantage of this convenient airport porter service. Call the airport and book in advance or, if you discover you need one on the day, find one of the many white phones in both the North and South Terminals and call 1415.
You can charge your gadgets on the move with charging facilities for electronic devices throughout the airport. Your mobile phone, tablet or laptop is plugged in to recharge and locked away for safekeeping. You pay for the amount of time you wish to leave it charging and return to collect it at your convenience.
